Picker Wheel is a free tool for picking a random name from a list. By using it you accept the terms below. They are deliberately short.

Using the tool

You may use Picker Wheel for anything lawful — at work, in a classroom, at home, personally or commercially. No account, licence or permission is required, and there is no charge.

Please do not attempt to disrupt the service for other people, use it to distribute unlawful or abusive content through shared links, or hammer it with automated traffic.

Randomness

Each spin starts from a random offset produced by your browser's built-in random number generator. No slice is favoured, and a result cannot be predicted from the previous spin.

It is not a certified or audited draw system. Do not rely on it where a legally binding, regulated or independently verifiable random draw is required — a government-regulated lottery or a prize promotion with a legal audit requirement, for example. For those, use a licensed provider.

Your content

The names and titles you enter remain yours. We claim no rights over them. Wheels you keep to yourself never leave your browser; wheels you share are stored so the link can work, as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for what you put on a wheel you choose to share, and anyone holding the link can edit it.

Supporting the project

Every feature is free. Support payments are entirely optional and are processed by Stripe.

Monthly support renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal linked from the payment confirmation, and cancelling stops future charges. If something has gone wrong with a payment, or you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will sort it out.

Availability and liability

The tool is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will be free of faults. It may change or stop being available. Your wheels live in your browser, so it is worth keeping your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the tool or from decisions made on the basis of a spin. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page shows when they last were. Continuing to use the tool after a change means accepting the revised terms.
